CA's Guber-Dem Candidate Weak on Offenders

I have one question, what was he waiting for?

Democratic gubernatorial candidate  Phil Angelides announced Monday he will back an initiative limiting how close (child molestors) can live to schools and parks in California, matching Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's earlier endorsement of the "Jessica's Law" proposal.

Schwarzenegger and other Republicans had criticized Angelides after he said last month he had not taken a position on the initiative, Proposition 83, because he was still crafting his own offender platform.

Considering that child offenders and molesters stems political isles, what did Democrat Gubernatorial Candidate Phil Angelides desire to change about Jessica's Law and qualified ballot initiative Proposition 83?

If anything, the people of California - and the country - are desiring of much more than the strict legislation of Jessica's Law (Prop 83).

Why did it take nearly two months for Phil to decide? Will he be strong on crime in a state that has an overcrowding prison system?

Is Angelides soft as it relates to "three strikes and your out" legislation?

I'm confused, how does a father wait so long to decide on something that is so elementary as it relates to children being abducted for such violations?
